About Greg Whitlock, CIC, CRM

With over 30 years of industry experience, Greg formed The Whitlock Group in 2012. His insurance industry acumen, leadership abilities and emphasis on relationships have contributed to our growth and success. Since 1992 and before starting the company, Greg served in various roles of increasing responsibility including Agent, Auditor, Loss Control and Underwriter.

He leads and sets the organization’s strategic course and guides efforts to grow and sustain the agency.

Greg has earned his Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM) certifications.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in Insurance and Risk Management from Georgia State University in 1992.

Greg is very involved in Community and Service Organizations. Greg serves as City of Duluth Mayor 2024 to present and served as Duluth City Council Member from 2007 to 2023. He is involved in leadership roles in his church at Duluth First United Methodist, Duluth Fall Festival (Committee Chairs & Co-Chairs 2010), Rotary Club of Sugarloaf (Officer, Director and Past President), and Leadership Gwinnett (Graduate and Tri Chair).

Greg resides in Duluth, Georgia. He has been happily married to Barbara since 2000, and they are proud parents of two children, Andrew and Olivia. Greg spends his leisure time with his family doing pretty much anything. He enjoys weight training, the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta United, reading, movies, spending time with friends, and being outdoors.
